TikTok launches #HelloVietnam to promote Vietnam tourism

TikTok has recently relaunched the #HelloVietNam campaign to enhance the promotion of Vietnamese tourism, culture, and cuisine to international friends.

On December 28th, TikTok Vietnam, with the support of the Vietnam Tourism Association, officially relaunched the #HelloVietNam campaign through a series of exciting experiential activities. With the participation of 60 content creators globally from December 16th, 2023, to January 10th, 2024.

The objective of the #HelloVietNam campaign.

The #HelloVietNam campaign was created with the aim of enhancing the promotion of Vietnamese tourism, cuisine, and culture. With diverse content on the platform, it contributes to promoting the tourism industry in our country. The campaign has brought together over 60 content creators, and nearly 300 high-quality videos uploaded about experiential tours.

The campaign has attracted over 100 million views and positive feedback from the community. In addition, the hashtag #HelloVietNam has also recorded an impressive number with over 1.5 billion views from users worldwide.

Pride in Vietnamese culture, cuisine, and people.

In the campaign, TikTok has implemented experiential tours with the participation of 60 renowned content creators from around the world, such as South Korea, Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, the UK, Australia, Italy, Japan, and Vietnam.

The journey, from December 9th to December 16th, involved exploring 4 provinces and cities in Vietnam, including the capital Hanoi, Quang Ninh, Phu Quoc, and Ho Chi Minh City. To experience the diverse cultures and people in each location, content creators had the opportunity to interact and truly appreciate the unique aspects of culture, cuisine, and people in each region.

TikTok Creators have explored and enjoyed the cuisine of Hanoi, visited Ha Long Bay, explored the Sung Sot Cave, Ti Ot Island, and also experienced the spiritual journey at the Yen Tu historical site, Yen Tu Peak - Dong Pagoda. They participated in cultural activities such as wearing traditional costumes, painting Dong Ho folk paintings and playing team-building games like "Dong A Spirit," all deeply rooted in Vietnamese culture.

Exchange and experience activities are the foundation for us to widely promote the quintessence of Vietnamese culture, imbued with national identity. Thereby showing pride in Vietnamese culture, cuisine, and people, authentically shared through short films by content creators.

The #HelloVietNam campaign embarked on a 7-day journey to explore 4 provinces and cities. Content creator @paulivandg from the Philippines expressed special impressions about Vietnamese culture and people: "I truly cannot forget the places I've been to, the activities I've participated in, the food I've tasted, and the people here. Thank you #HelloVietnam for helping us connect and contribute to promoting tourism in Vietnam".

Japanese content creator @wp_satoshi_wp also shared his authentic experiences after participating in the campaign: "I am very grateful to have met everyone. This was truly an amazing experience. Even after returning to Japan and sleeping for 18 hours straight, I felt like the memories in Vietnam were like a dream. But I'm happy that there are still many photos and videos on my phone. I will definitely come back to Vietnam to meet you all again!"
