This was the first step to implement the project on developing Can Tho  into a smart city as instructed in Resolution No. 10-NQ/TU dated on April 11th, 2017 of the municipal Party Committee on developing Can Tho city  into a smart one period 2016- 2025.

At the workshop, delegates and experts discussed on the ways to approach the information at departments and divisions to have a basis for identifying the process and target of intelligent management on each field of the city, thereby developing Can Tho city into a smart one. This aims to serve the people and manage the smart city to enhance the capacity of management, promote socio- economic development, contribute a modern living and working environment, ect.

Speaking at the workshop, Ms. Vo Thi Hong Anh, Vice Chairwoman of the People’s Committee of Can Tho city, appreciated the coordination of the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunication Group in developing Can Tho into a smart city period 2016-2025. Besides, in order to complete the planning of the project in 2017, the Vice Chairwoman also proposed that the expert teams of the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunication Group should prepare programs and contents of the works as instructed in Resolution No. 10-NQ/TU of the municipal Party Committee before coming to departments, divisions, enterprises and the local to survey and approach information. This helps them coordinate actively and provide data suitable with the requirements of the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunication Group.  With departments and divisions, it would be necessary to establish teams or groups to monitor these aspects in order to provide information for experts accurately and timely, ect.
