At the meeting, on behalf of the city leaders, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dung, Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee, praised Can Tho businessmen for their achievements and important contributions to the economic development of the city. To further develop the spirit of patriotism and build the homeland, he called on the businessmen to strengthen solidarity, cooperation as well as bravely invest in renewing equipment and technology, exploiting local potentials and strengths. Moreover, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dung also encouraged Can Tho enterprises to expand, improve business efficiency and participate in various charitable activities in order to build a more prosperous and civilized country. At the same time, he suggested departments and authorities at all levels within the scope of their authorities and tasks to strengthen activities to support enterprises, timely solve difficulties and obstacles in order to provide production and business activities a better performance.

On this occasion, Can Tho City People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 6 enterprises that contribute much to the city’s economic and social development; Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises also awarded certificates of merit to four members in effective business. Additionally, at the anniversary, CBA also awarded certificates of merit to 5 successful startup businesses and membership certificates to 16 new members.

Businesses were exhibiting, promoting products in the Trade Exchange program.

* Earlier, on the morning of October 13^th, the CBA held the Trade Exchange and Business Connectivity Program. This activity attracted 55 businesses’ exhibition booths including agricultural products, food, machinery used for agricultural production, health, cosmetics, and services. This program provided enterprises opportunities to promote, exchange goods, share experience in production and business activities.
