The festival will be expected to organize in three days, from July 7th to 9th, at 17/2 Vo Tanh Street, Song Hau Farm Store and some other neighboring places in Cai Rang and Ninh Kieu District. There will be fifteen activities taking place in the festival focusing on four main points: opening ceremony, parade of boats on the river, river market and Composite racing. In comparison with that of last year, this festival will be longer and have more activities, such as Cai Rang Floating Market Model contest, river market, dragon boat racing and showing Vietnam’s Guinness Record of banh xeo, rice pancake. Moreover, the festival will have many activities on the sidelines, such as fruit shaping contest, Don ca tai tu (amateur singing), culinary booths, and southern traditional cakes.
Mr. Le Minh Son, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that the tourism industry would announce the recognition of Can Tho Tourism‘s brand name including logo, slogan and award for authors.
