The Ky Yen Thuong Dien in Binh Thuy Tenple is one of the large scale festivals of Binh Thuy District. This aims to preserve and promote the national characters through the commemoration of the ancestors expending the areas of Binh Thuy and announce the new harvest to the God as well as pray for good rain, wind and harvest. This is also the opportunity to promote tourism by organizing activities in the field of culture and sports, develop culture associated with tourism, create an exciting atmosphere encouraging people to successfully fulfill the socio-political tasks in 2017.

The festival of this year was hold in three days, from May 7th to 9th, 2017 (i.e. from 12th to 14th of lunar April). Besides some traditional ceremonies such as taking Sac Than for a trip, changing Sac Than’s cover, Xay chau, Ban soan, Tuc yet, Ton vuong, Son Quan and so on, other activities related to culture and sport were organized, such as exhibiting books and newspapers, displaying handicrafts, Binh Thuy’s delicious cake festival, steamed sticky rice cooking contest, orchid contest, health preservation contest, folk games, traditional boat race, Chinese chess competition, stick pushing competition.
