The festival was held from January 29  to February 1, 2018 to celebrate the 88 anniversary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (3/2/1930 - 3/2/2018) and the 50 anniversary of the Offensive and Rebellion in 1968 Mau Than Spring, contributing to the success of the activity “Welcome Glorious Party  - Welcome Mau Tuat Spring”. This is also an annual event to develop the musical movement in the locality and find out new people who are good at public arts in Can Tho.

This year festival attracted more than 200 contestants from 9 Cultural and Sports centers, clubs, groups and individuals of districts. At the festival, the participants will perform songs, folk songs and short plays praising for the Party, Uncle Ho and the beauty of Tet holiday.  

In the framework of the festival, there were other activities, such as, booths promoting Can Tho Tourism, photo exhibitions on economy, politics, culture, society, security and defense of Can Tho city, exhibition on art photos and tourism sites in Can Tho, showing and offering calligraphy writing.
