Representatives of national leaders, leaders of Can Tho city, leaders of provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta, leaders of departments, boards and unions in Can Tho city, enterprises, co-operatives, farmers and many people attended the ceremony.

The overview of the opening ceremony

The Mekong Delta International Agricultural Festival attracts over 300 booths displaying agricultural research products and equipment for agricultural production of nearly 150 enterprises, co-operatives, farmers in Viet Nam and in foreign countries working in the field of agriculture and technology.

The festival is a practical program contributing to the development of agricultural production in the Mekong Delta and promoting the cooperation among scientists, investors, Vietnamese enterprises, foreign enterprises aims to apply the achievements of science and technology in the field of agriculture.

In the framework of the festival, there will be a workshop on “Applying Science and Technology to Improve Quality and Productivity in Agricultural Production” with 14 themes introducing, proposing the solutions of applying science and technology in the agriculture to improve efficiency in production and business. The program “Connecting Supplying and Demanding” aims to create the opportunities for scientists and enterprises looking for their partners and co-working to improve technology for agriculture. Besides, there are  cultural art programs like “Cooking Contest”, “Creative Engineering Contest”, “Charming Shirt Contest of the Mekong Delta” and so on.

50 typical enterprises, co-operatives and farmers received Gold Medal “Creative Agricultural Science”

On this occasion, the Organizing Board selects and offers Gold Medal “Creative Agricultural Science” to 50 typical enterprises, co-operatives and farmers in application of science and technology for agricultural development in the Mekong Delta. 

The festival takes place from March the 9th to March the 13th of 2017.

The representatives visited the displaying booths at the festival
