Welcoming to Can Tho City, Mr. Vo Thanh Thong highly appreciated the contribution of the Japan- Vietnam Friendship Association in building and developing the strong relationship between the two countries. The leaders of Can Tho City have just visited Japan; Japanese and Can Tho City partners have achieved good cooperation in many aspects, such as economy, education and health. Being a centre of the Mekong Delta, the road, waterway and airway transport infrastructure of the city has been invested more perfectly to be convenient when connecting with other provinces in the Mekong Delta and the whole country. Hope that after the visit, the delegation will have some support in cultural, politic, economic cooperation to the Mekong Delta in general and Can Tho in particular. Can Tho City leaders will support and create the best conditions for Japanese investors.

Responding to the warmly welcome of the city leaders, Mr. Nakamura Mitsuhiro, Permanent Committee Member of the Japan- Vietnam Friendship Association, expected that Can Tho city would develop more and more and the Japan- Vietnam Friendship Association together with the leaders of Can Tho City would try for this target. With a positive outlook on investment environment of Can Tho City, Mr. Nakamura Mitsuhiro said that the Association would invite the Japanese investors coming to Can Tho to explore this environment in the Mekong Delta in general and Can Tho in particular.
