At the meeting, Mr. Truong Hoai Nam introduced a lot of  potential and opportunities for co- operation with Can Tho city. Located in the centre of the Mekong Delta with many benefits on transportation, complete commercial infrastructure, abundant human resources, Can Tho city will be a good destination for local and foreign enterprises. Especially, Korea Viet Nam Incubator Park (KVIP) in Can Tho is a hopeful place attracting Korean investors coming to incubate and invest. Can Tho city currently has some Korean projects being deployed as LOTTE Mart Shopping Centre, CGV cinema system, Taekwang Shoe Company project specialized in producing sport shoes. The city hoped that KTA would be a bridge introducing Korean enterprises in particular and other foreign country enterprises in general coming to Can Tho city. Can Tho city is eager to offer these enterprises the best working conditions.

Mr. Hwang Eun Sik, Director of  KTA, highly appreciated the environment and investment cooperation of Can Tho city and said that the two sides will work together to promote more projects in the future, especially in the fields of information technology, industry, solar power. KTA hope to hold a meeting between Korean importers and Vietnamese partners, to organize trade fairs and festival for exchanging culture.

On the same day, Mr. Dao Anh Dung, Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People’s Committee had a meeting with Hirosima province (Japan) coming in Can Tho to know about the city’s promotion programs in 2017 and the investment opportunities in the field of environment.

At the meeting, Mr. Sato Yoshio, Director of  Hirosima’s Department of Labor in Business and Industry, had a discussion with Mr. Dao Anh Dung on the connection of the Mekong Delta enterprises by organizing a workshop ( maybe in the September of 2017). This would aim to introduce the efforts and technology related to the environmental of  the enterprises in Hirosima province. By the way, Hirosima province’s enterprises would connect with Can Tho city’s enterprises. Hirosima province’s enterprises intended to participate some projects as small water purifiers, water desalination systems, recycled organic fertilizer, environmental survey,  factory’s waste water treatment, filtering grow-out pond, waste treatment and so on.

Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People’s Committee, Mr. Dao Anh Dung absolutely agreed with the proposal of the delegation and proposed to organize a workshop in Can Tho with specific topic in order to achieve the best success in cooperation between the two.
