According to the project, Can Tho Oncology Hospital will be built on Nguyen Van Cu street, An Binh ward, Ninh Kieu district, Can Tho city by the Health Department of Can Tho City, the owner of the project. The 500- bed hospital will include four main blocks with a total floor area of ​​44.575 square meters (the lowest block has one floor, the highest one has six floors) and 18.836 square meters will be used for other related works. The project has a total investment of VND 1.727 billion (equivalent to EUR 70.5 million), of which over EUR 56.9 million comes from the ODA Fund of Hungarian Government and the counterpart fund of Can Tho city is over EUR 13.5 million. The duration of the project is 3 years, from 2016 to 2018.

Mr. Vo Thanh Thong, Chairman of Can Tho City People’s Committee, said that the construction investment on Can Tho Oncology Hospital was one of the social- meaning works, which aimed to continue implementing the policy of the Government and improving the health care for the people.
