The workshop is an opportunity for environmental managers and enterprises operating in different fields of 13 provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta to attend, meet and exchange new technologies and scientific achievements related to the environmental treatment of Japanese enterprises to choose the optimal solutions, which are suitable with the reality of the Mekong Delta, to help the enterprises solve difficulties and obstacles when dealing with the environmental treatment.

At the workshop, Hiroshima’s representatives presented new technologies and achievements in the field of environmental treatment. Especially, there was the organic agricultural production process of Aina Company with the use of Aina solution mixed with fermented husk as fertilizer for plants, waste collection and treatment technology of Ogawa Econos Company or plastic recycling technology into useful products of Furukawa Company, technology of emission monitoring in thermal power plant of Chugai Techno Company, and so on.
Mr. KawaguchiKazunari, head of the Hiroshima Department of Foreign Investment Promotion, said that the connection would help the parties tighten relationships, solve the environmental issues, and develop more business opportunities with the potential region as the Mekong Delta in the future. Mr. Kawaguchi Kazunari also hoped that through this event, state agencies and the enterprises of both parties would become partners of each other to create more business opportunities.
Representative of Can Tho city, Mr. Dao Anh Dung – Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee said that environmental issues in enterprises of the Mekong Delta are one of the great concerns. According to him, with the aim of socio-economic development associated with environmental protection, this connection is an opportunity for Vietnamese enterprises to meet and exchange new technologies and scientific achievements related to the environmental treatment of Hiroshima’s - Japan. This is also the opportunity for Vietnamese enterprises to choose the optimal solutions, which are suitable for the real conditions of the Mekong Delta, to help the enterprises solve difficulties and obstacles in environmental treatment. Mr. Dao Anh Dung also hoped that 8 Japanese enterprises (Aina, Ogawa Econos, Futaba Sankyo, Chugai Technos, Furukawa, Hinomaru Sangyo, Mikuniya and Tromso) operating in the field of environment would participate in the upcoming workshop in Can Tho in November, 2017.
