At the meeting, Mr. Tran Viet Phuong, Director of Department of Culture Sports and Tourism, said that The Hung Kings' Temple will be built in the planning site of Adminitrative Zone and Sports Center in Binh Thuy district with 3.63 hectares. The project will be carried out from 2017 to 2020. This aims to express deep gratitude to the Hung Kings and the predecessors who had a lot of merits in building and defending the country, and to remind people traditional moral principle "drinking water, remember its source".This is also the wishes of the majority of people in Can Tho in particular and in the Mekong Delta in general.
Up to now, Department of Culture Sports and Tourism (Investors) has sent to the leaders of the People’s Committee of Can Tho City the overall layout plan of the site and architectural design of Hung Kings'Temple. The Department will carry out enforcement organizations as a basis for implementing the detailed design and drafting work to call for investment in the form of socialization.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman Le Van Tam suggested that the investors should have a meeting with the public to get comments on the upcoming project and to strengthen information about content and significance of the construction of the Hung Kings'Temple to promote the socialization of investment to implement the project. At the same time, the Vice Chairman also suggested that the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism should be well prepared for the content of the construction to consult The Standing Committee for consideration and decision.
