According to Can Tho city's Official Development Assistance (ODA) Project Management Board, the city is speeding up the implementation of Project 3. Regarding the specific progress, the construction of Tran Hoang Na Bridge (bidding package CT3-PW-2.4) has reached over 72%. The road connecting Cach Mang Thang Street with provincial road 918 has 2 bidding packages: CT3-PW-2.5 (from Km0+000 to Km1+820) reaching the rate of 65% and CT3-PW-2.6 (from km1+820 to km5+333) reaching the rate of 78.9%. The improvement progress of Ba Bo canal, Dau Sau canal, Hang Bang canal has reached 6.49%. Construction of Cai Khe lock (bidding package CT3-PW-1.8) progressed at 34.11%. Hoang Quoc Viet road works (bidding package CT3-PW-1.10: section km0-km1+952.5) progress reached 7.1%. The improvement of Hoang Quoc Viet road (bidding package CT3-PW-1.13: section km1+952.5-km3+461) progressed at 47%.

The renovation progress of the central drainage system of Ninh Kieu district (bidding package CT3-PW-1.11), with 32 inner city roads, has reached about 15% so far. Meanwhile, the construction and expansion of Quang Trung bridge (bidding package CT3-PW-2.1) and Tran Hoang Na street (bidding package CT3-PW-2.2) have been completed and put into use. These works have proven their effectiveness and brought great benefits to the people of Can Tho city.

After receiving comments from representatives of the World Bank, Vice Chairman Nguyen Van Hong asked Can Tho city's ODA Project Management Board, departments, agencies, and Ninh Kieu authorities to focus on accelerating the site clearance for projects; make a specific chart of the construction progress of each project, each bidding package; determine the possibility of completion to have a detailed implementation plan to ensure the time; prioritize settlement of stable housing for people affected by the project.
