During the meeting, Mr. Pham Van Hieu stated that Can Tho aims to develop into an ecological, civilized, and modern city that reflects the cultural identity of the Mekong Delta region. The vision includes establishing Can Tho as the regional core urban area and hub in various sectors, including trade, services, tourism, logistics, processing industry, high-tech agriculture, education and training, specialized healthcare, science and technology, culture, and sports. To achieve this goal, priority will be given to developing agricultural support industries, high-tech agriculture, green agriculture, green economy, circular economy, and strategies for adapting to climate change.
