However, not every couple is fortunate enough to have the means to organize a complete wedding ceremony, especially for those workers facing economic difficulties, living far from home, and residing in rented accommodation...

According to Mr. Doan Van Dung, understanding the situation and capturing the aspirations of some union members, workers who wish to have a simple, warm wedding ceremony, with the approval of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Can Tho City Party Committee, and the Standing Committee of the City Confederation of Labor have developed and implemented a plan to organize a 'collective wedding ceremony' for union members and workers in the city. In addition, through the organization of the collective wedding ceremony, the city's Confederation of Labor hopes to spread widely among union members, workers, and the entire population a model of civilized, economical weddings, honoring the traditional cultural beauty of the nation.

According to Mr. Doan Van Dung, after the City Confederation of Labor implemented the plan to organize the collective wedding ceremony, it received a positive responses and participation from many registered couples. Through meetings and understanding the circumstances, thoughts, and desires of the couples, the Standing Committee of the City Confederation of Labor selected 8 couples to participate. "Most of the couples have been living together and registered for marriage for many years. Some couples already have 1 or 2 children, but due to various objective reasons, they have not been able to have a proper wedding ceremony yet," Mr. Doan Van Dung added.

Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai, Chairwoman of the City Confederation of Labor, represented the organizing committee in expressing gratitude to the sponsoring units that supported the collective wedding ceremony for union members and workers in difficult circumstances, which took place in a solemn and warm atmosphere.

The city's Confederation of Labor leadership believes that the couples will always be a support for each other, motivating each other to overcome all difficulties in life, strive to work, produce, and contribute to the development of businesses.
