Places to visit in Can Tho on April 30th and May 1st

This year’s holiday (from April 27 to May 1) provides people with a 5-day break, perfect for relaxing or traveling with family and friends. On this occasion, Can Tho City is bustling with many interesting cultural and artistic activities that cater to the diverse needs of tourists.

In recent holidays, many tourist groups flocked to My Khanh Tourist Village (My Khanh commune, Phong Dien district) for its diverse activities. For example, this year's My Khanh Cake & Fruit Festival with the theme “Impressions of the Western Region” attracted many people. The festival featured a space for displaying typical Southern cuisine and folk cakes, allowing visitors to meet artisans, and chefs and enjoy traditional cakes of the Kinh, Chinese, and Khmer ethnic groups. In addition, visitors can also experience traditional craft villages famous for making coconut candy, rice noodles, and more.

This year, My Khanh Tourist Village introduces some exciting new features that give visitors a unique experience. One of these features is a replica of the My Khanh floating market that recreates the bustling space with dozens of merchant boats of all sizes carrying various agricultural products. Visitors can row boats and take photos while exploring the market.

Moreover, My Khanh Tourist Village offers over 20 services and activities, including horse-drawn carriage rides, pig/dog racing show, team-building games, transforming into a landowner program, enjoying typical Southern cuisine on the boat, and listening to Southern folk music. Additionally, My Khanh Tourist Village has established a new fairy garden with beautiful flowers and miniatures, and a bird's nest refining area. The newly opened rainbow slide is also a popular attraction among tourists.

This year’s holiday, Ong De Ecotourism Village (My Khanh commune, Phong Dien district) establishes an area introducing Southern folk cakes and fruits, with around 20 stalls. Visitors can learn to make rice paper while enjoying the specialty fruits of Phong Dien and the Southwest region. Unique team-building games are also available for those who wish to participate.

Tourists who enjoy river experiences should not miss out on exploring the Cai Rang floating market when visiting Can Tho. From the Cai Rang floating market, tourists can also visit various gardens in Phong Dien or craft villages in Ninh Kieu and Cai Rang.

In addition, Can Tho also offers a canoe tour to visit the floating market and other famous destinations in the region. Visitors can also experience a beautiful garden space on the river by visiting Son Islet, located in the Binh Thuy district.
