This year’s festival, themed "Preserving and Promoting the Value of Southern Folk Cakes," will take place from April 4 to April 8 at Bình Thủy District Square. The event is organized under the direction of the Cần Thơ City People’s Committee and coordinated by the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, along with relevant agencies and localities.
The festival aims to safeguard and promote the cultural heritage of Southern folk cakes. It will also serve as a platform for introducing Vietnam’s traditional culinary delights to domestic and international visitors and fostering business connections among folk cake artisans and enterprises. The ultimate goal is to develop Southern folk cakes into a national brand and expand their presence in global markets.
This year’s event will feature over 200 booths, gathering renowned folk cake artisans from various provinces and cities across Vietnam. The grand opening ceremony will take place at 7:00 PM on April 4, broadcast live on Cần Thơ Radio and Television Station.
A wide array of activities will be held throughout the event, including:
- Offering folk cakes at the Hùng Kings’ Commemoration Ceremony 2025;
