The Mekong Delta Tourism Association, in coordination with Cong Ly Newspaper, organized a workshop on developing human resources and improving law enforcement on tourism in the Mekong Delta on September 20.

On September 18, Can Tho Municipal Department of Natural Resources and Environment collaborated with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Vietnam to launch a campaign to collect waste and clean the environment in the Cai Rang floating market, one of the popular tourist destinations in Can Tho City which is facing a risk of pollution. This activity is in response to the Campaign to Make the World Cleaner 2024.

Can Tho Municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized a thematic exhibition entitled “The Annam Communist Party Cell of Co Do and the Revolutionary Movement in Can Tho” on September 17 at Can Tho Museum.

On September 12, Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Nguyen Thuc Hien had a working session with the NA's Committee on Culture and Education delegation led by the Vice Chairman of the NA's Committee on Culture and Education Ta Van Ha. The delegation worked with Can Tho City leaders on implementing the Youth Law regarding youth support policies for 2020 - 2023.

On the morning of September 12, at Luu Huu Phuoc Park, the Can Tho City People's Committee coordinated with the Vietnam Agency for Radiation and Nuclear Safety under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Can Tho City Military Command, the 9th Military Region, Can Tho City Police Department, Can Tho City Oncology Hospital, and related departments and agencies to organize the 2024 Nuclear and Radiation Incident Response Drill. The event had the presence of Mr. Nguyen Tuan Khai, Director of the Vietnam Agency for Radiation and Nuclear Safety; Mr. Pham Van Hieu, Standing Deputy Secretary of Can Tho City Party Committee, Chairman of Can Tho City People's Council; and Mr. Nguyen Ngoc He, Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee.

In September 2024, Can Tho welcome several fam trip groups to survey and experience tourism products. One of the standout offerings was a thematic product called "Journey Home - Discovering Autumn in Tay Do," which involved a journey to discover the essence of the Western region.

On the afternoon of September 12, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City organized a campaign to support people affected by Storm No. 3 (Yagi).

On September 7th and 8th, Can Tho welcomed many international tour operators and domestic tourism businesses to conduct market research and networking.

Can Tho City has significant potential for tourism development, offering attractive products. Many farmers have seized this opportunity by transitioning their economic model to provide tourism services. This generates substantial income for the farmers and contributes to the tourism industry's overall revenue.

On the afternoon of September 6th, Mr. Nguyen Thuc Hien, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City had a meeting with Ms. Alexandra Smith, Consul General of the United Kingdom in Ho Chi Minh City for a working visit to Can Tho City.
