- Can Tho Union of Friendship Organizations is permanent, specialized part of Can Tho Union of Friendship Organizations’s Executive board. Executive board is voted by Representative Congress of Can Tho Union of Friendship Organizations with 5-year-term and is acknowledged by the admission decision of Cantho city’s People Committee.

Be a clue of co-ordinating, guiding, organizing unity, friendship, exchange, friendship setter, co-operation with people from other countries and work of foreign non-governmental aid campaign in the area of Cantho city. For more detail:

- Organize activities of unite, friendship, diplomatic information, exchange, friendship setter, co-operation with people from other countries such as: Co-ordinate with appropriate branches counsel city committee of the Party, Municipal People committe to organize friendly meetings between leaders of city committee of the Party, Municipal People committe and foreign organizations, individuals in holidays, festivals, important anniversary dates of Vietnam, other countries’s Independence day… Welcome diplomatic corps from other countries, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), cultural, socio-philanthropic organizations and foreigners which come to Cantho to find opportunities to widen the relationship in business co-operation, socio-philanthropic work, cultural-artistic exchange…with the aim of socio-economical development, friendship, humanitarian aids extension in the area of Cantho city.

- Be a clue in relationship and foreign non-governmental aid campaign work to Cantho city in the spirit of Decree 93/2009/ND-CP dated from 12/10/2009 of the Government promulgating the Regulations on the management and ultilization of foreign non-governmental aids. Be responsible for units (partners) guide, helps in relationship with NGOs and guide, help foreign NGOs operate in  accordance with regulations, documents signed between NGOs and local partner units. 

- A permanent office of Cantho Foreign NGO’s mision board.

- Build firm relationship with mission committee about foreign NGOs and people’s aids Co-ordinating committee ( PACCOM), concerning departments, commissions, district people committee…in organizing the deployment of foreign non-governmental aids programs, projects in the area of the city. Observe, solve timely issues arising, create conditions for non-governmental aids projects, programs to be deployed on the right time, with the right content and right rate of progress. Attract more new projects of foreign NGOs to come to Cantho.

- Build and nonstoppably raise the productivity of executive board, standing board of Cantho Union of friendship organizations and other countries’ union of friendship. Renovate the operating methods, contents to be close to the situation, requirements, revolutionary tasks of the nation, Cantho city in the new period: international open, integration time. 

- Finish campaign work, introduce Vietnam and the people, Cantho. Raise the awareness, responsibility of branches, levels and the people in general to actively participate in people-to-people diplomacy work in the area of the city.

- Build cultivated, civilized, clean, green offices; ensure security, order, safety; discipline and productive operation. Implementation of administration reform, democracy, public. Build unite internal, complete political tasks assigned bu the Party, the State; annual plans, programs of units.

- Manage the organization, personnel, salary system and training, commendation and reward, discipline policies for employees who are under the direction of Union in accordance with law and decentralized by Municipal people committee.

- Manage finance, properties and organize the implementation of budget apportion in accordance with the law.
