Preserve and develop the largest bird sanctuary in the Mekong Delta

Bang Lang Stork Garden in Can Tho is known as “the largest bird sanctuary in the Mekong Delta” with an area of 15. 000 square meters, which is home of about 150.000 storks with various types. This is a “remarkable tourist destination” of the region, attracting many domestic and foreign tourists. However, the more visitors come, the more storks disappear. Moreover, the quality of services is not good so the brand name of Bang Lang stork garden has not developed as its value in spite of its advantages of precious resources. Thus, Can Tho City has proposed many synchronous planning solutions to preserve and develop this bird sanctuary.
